Latest Asia Business Sentiment Survey shows improvement, but wariness

Part of building business models that work within emerging economies is paying close attention to what businesses based on those markets are planning, doing, and thinking.  The Asia Business Sentiment Survey provides some useful datapoints in that respect.

From the survey authors' cover note to the most recent report:

Asian businesses remain wary  about the future, though the overall trend is on the upswing according to the latest INSEAD/Thomson-Reuters Asia Business Sentiment Survey, issued 20 March, 2013. The index, which surveys 100 executives in 11 Asia-Pacific countries, registered 65 in the first quarter of 2013, up from 63 in the last quarter of 2012. A reading above 50 indicates a positive outlook.
