Can you use technology to capture team dynamics?

The researchers at MIT's Human Dynamics Laboratory believes you can.  They set out to capture data, map communications and other interactions among both high-performing and low-performing teams, and create a system to measure and improve team performance.  You can read about it here.

MIT's Human Dynamics Laboratory claims to have identified "the elusive group dynamics that characterize high-performing teams," and that these dynamics are observable, quantifiable, and measurable. The MIT researchers deployed wearable electronic sensors that captures team members' tone of voice and body language during interactions.
