Asia Trends – Urban Poor

Four new surveys on the challenges facing the urban poor from the Lee Kwan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, which Bruno and Clara recently visited.  The cities covered include Hanoi, Jakarta, Manila, and Vientiane, and all four are free to download here.

In 2012, the ATM team traveled to four cities and conducted a survey on the challenges for the urban poor.  The result are four bulletins containing primary data and case studies from the field.

The Asian Trends Monitoring Bulletin is a project sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, New York, and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.

The Asian Trends Monitoring Bulletins are designed to encourage dialogue and debate about critical issues that affect Asia’s ability to reduce poverty and increase awareness of the implications for pro-poor policy and policy development. In 2012, we are focusing on future challenges for urban poverty.
